Exciting Opportunity: Mechanical Support Technician

For our client, an International Company in Venlo, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Support Technician/ troubleshooter for their brandnew auto store

As a Mechanical Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for internal teams experiencing mechanical issues with machines, production equipment, or automation systems. You will provide fast, hands-on support to diagnose and resolve minor mechanical faults, escalate complex issues to 2nd line maintenance or engineering, and help minimize downtime across operations.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Providing first-line mechanical support for internal production machinery and automation equipment.
• Performing initial diagnostics and basic repairs of mechanical failures.
• Supporting production and maintenance teams during equipment disruptions.
• Documenting issues, work performed, and any escalations clearly in maintenance logs or ticketing systems.
• Escalating more complex problems to 2nd line maintenance or engineering teams.
• Monitoring machine performance and proactively identifying mechanical wear or risks.
• Ensuring quick response times to avoid production delays or shutdowns.
• Supporting periodic checks, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintaining safety standards during all mechanical interventions.
• Staying up to date with machine manuals, technical documentation, and internal procedures.

MBO level 3 or 4 in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.

• Experience in a technical support, maintenance, or mechanical service role within a production environment is a plus.

• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, components, and automation basics.

• Problem-solving mindset with a hands-on, proactive attitude.

• Good communication skills with colleagues across shifts and departments.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or machine documentation.

• Comfortable working in a high-paced production environment.

• Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, or servo systems is a plus.
