For our customer in Venary we are looking for a

Customer service representative ( 40 hours )

The EMEA Control Tower in Venray delivers transport management and end to end supply chain solutions.

In this key role, you will act as the central operational coordination point between our customers, warehouse operations, and internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for planning, coordination, communication, and administrative control to ensure smooth inbound and outbound flows and strong service performance.

What you will do :

• Act as the primary operational contact for customers via email, phone, chat, and other communication channels;
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of customer orders, inbound and outbound flows, and related administrative activities;
• Proactively monitor shipments, work orders, and warehouse activities to ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met;
• Manage customer inquiries related to orders, returns, replacements, complaints, and account-related questions;
• Coordinate and follow up on urgent orders, deviations, and exceptions within the supply chain;
• Monitor customer feedback, identify recurring issues, and escalate risks or deviations proactively;
• Cooperate closely with internal departments such as Warehouse Operations, Transport, Planning, IT, and Security;
• Track and monitor KPIs, identify deviations in time, and support corrective actions;
• Participate actively in daily operational calls and weekly internal and external progress meetings;
• Compile operational, performance, and customer reports;
• Identify structural issues, contribute to root-cause analysis, and support continuous process improvements;
• Maintain and update work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Function requirements

• Education and/or experience at MBO+ level or equivalent;
• Proven experience in an international Customer Service or Control Tower environment (required);
• Strong administrative and organizational skills;
• Experience with WMS and/or ERP systems and strong proficiency in MS Office;
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written);
• A customer-oriented mindset combined with a structured, accurate, and proactive working style;
• Ability to maintain overview, prioritize tasks, and perform under time pressure;
• Structured approach;
