For our international client in the area of Venlo, we are looking for a

Transport Planner

Do you have experience as a planner within the logistics or transport sector? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment and do you have strong communication skills? Then we are looking for you!

Your responsibilities:

  • Recording and checking obtained transport orders;
  • Informing the trailer planning and customer service department in case of calamities;
  • Instructing the carrier with the necessary (changed) data;
  • Accepting damage reports;
  • Calculating driving hours, working hours, rest and distance (knowledge of driving hours law) and also following this law;
  • Taking care of the administrative processing in our TMS;
  • Checking the routing;
  • Plan as efficiently as possible for the best possible return;
  • Co-responsible for the department result/target;
  • Daily acquisition of market knowledge.

Function requirements  

  • A finished MBO education (transport or logistics);
  • Several years of relevant working experience so that you are already aware of the laws and regulations regarding waiting and driving time regulations;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Good knowlegde of the English language;
  • You are flexible, pragmatic approach and problem-solving attitude;
  • You think in possibilities and always use the opportunities that arise to improve your work;
  • You have knowledge of technical systems and you quickly familiarize yourself with the working method;
  • You know how to work within a structured and accurate manner;
  • You have good geographic knowledge;
  • Fulltime availible.
