Our client is a young, dynamic, and growing family business specializing in sorting, packaging, and trading fruit. This is done from a modern, cooled packaging hall in the Venlo region. To strengthen the team, we are looking for an experienced
Team Leader (experience in AGF)

What will you do?
You ensure that the production teams are optimally deployed and that the advanced production/packaging lines run smoothly and without disturbances. In this role, you will manage a team of line operators and production employees, organize the production process, and ensure that hygiene and safety regulations are adhered to.

You will work closely with the line operators, QC personnel, our technical staff, and easily coordinate with our HR team. Responsibilities include:

• Realizing the production planning and orders in the most efficient manner possible;
• Implementing the personnel policy regarding hiring, managing, and motivating employees/teams, absence management, appraisal interviews, etc.;
• Monitoring KPIs and reporting deviations regarding planning and quality in accordance with BRC, SKAL, IFS, and HACCP regulations, as well as any technical issues;
• Creating and following up on work schedules, staff allocation on various production lines, coordination with HR and staffing agencies;
• Organizing and scheduling employees on the various production lines;
• Monitoring progress in accordance with the planning and adjusting teams if necessary to optimize the packaging process;
• Leading and participating in (TPM) projects where you guide a team of line operators actively working on optimization proposals regarding the production process and steering improvement teams.

Is this you?

You live in the North Limburg region and feel at home in the AGF (fruits and vegetables) industry. Of course, you have several years of proven leadership experience, you are a strong team player who is not afraid to address people about their responsibilities when necessary. You find it a challenge to further optimize a team and its output. You are willing to work in shifted shifts (from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM/9:00 PM) and work on Saturdays once every two weeks (from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM). Despite the fact that it can be hectic on the work floor at times, you remain calm, maintain an overview, and know how to determine the right priorities.

For us, you are the right candidate if you:

• Have an MBO+ work and thinking level;
• Have an affinity with a production environment (AGF sector) and also possess technical insight;
• Bring good command of the English language in both spoken and written form. Mastery of the Polish and/or Dutch language is a plus;
• Have good communicative skills and social abilities;
• Have a flexible attitude both in work approach and working hours;
• Are willing to work in shifted shifts and once every two weeks on Saturday;
• Are a team player with a positive and energetic attitude.
